Rivesaltes 'Cross' Vintage, G̩rard Bertrand

An astonishing, powerful, rich wine with a complex nose of dried fruits, honey and spices and balanced sweetness
Harvest took place by hand when the grapes had reached optium maturity. Destemming and crushing was followed by a short maceration period of around three to five days. Fortification stopped the fermentation and retained some of the wines natural sweetness. The wine was left to age for two years in barrel.
