Pommard les Vignots, Domaine Ren̩ Monnier

Textured and quite weighty, this wine has bright red fruit on the palate and finishing on a herbal and earthy note.
The wine was vinified in the traditional manner, with pre-fermentation soak taking place for six days to extract the desired level of flavour and aromatics. Fermentation lasted for two weeks before the wine was transferred to French oak barrels (40% new oak) for 12 to 16 months. The wine was gently filtered , but not fined prior to bottling.
