'Avaton', Epanomi, Ktima Gerovassiliou

This is an intensely flavoured wine with bags of black cherry fruit underlined by dark chocolate and tapinade.
The Limnio (pronounced LIM-neeo), Mavrotragano (Mavro- TRAH- gano) and Mavroudi (Mav- ROO- dee) grapes were each fermented in small oak casks of 40 hectolitres. The wine went through malolactic fermentation before being aged in French oak barrels for a period of 15 months.
