Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 'Avegiano', Bove

A robust and savoury style of wine showing black cherry flavours combined with a little coconut and vanilla.
The grapes were carefully selected in the vineyard. Extended skin maceration was followed by fermentation, which took place in temperature controlled tanks. The wine was aged for four to six months in 25 hectolitre oak casks and a further four months in bottle, prior to release.
